Critical Incident Training & Support

Increasingly schools have to cope with student fights, weapons in the school, drug abuse, gangs, and other forms of violent behavior that are not exclusive to the larger city schools. Schools mirror the wider society; therefore much of the information contained in this manual also applies to communities.

Although it is not possible to completely protect children or a school from these issues, a comprehensive and collaboratively developed crisis plan can go a long way to reduce the adverse effects that these kinds of traumatic events can have on the lives of children. It has been consistently proven that prior crisis planning can make a significant difference in an emergency situation. When a comprehensive strategy is in place, it allows school staff to more effectively and responsibly protect children and lessen the impact of the
traumatic event. We will help you to develop a comprehensive critical incident plan and provide the necessary training for your staff and/or employees.
