Introduction To Assessment


Psychoeducational assessments are both expensive, time consuming, and may be complicated and complex. Assessment involves the administration of norm-referenced and/or standardized tests, interviewing teachers and parents, evaluating school work, and observing the student in the classroom. Assessments can save money as they can clearly point to the most appropriate direction for intervention and strategies. Most importantly, an assessment will highlight the individual’s learning style through identifying their strengths and needs.
